Money and My Current Jobs

Now talking about my jobs. Currently taking a J2 Physics student and P6 Science student (big difference). Actually tuitioning is quite enjoyable and a good learning experience. I'm just glad that I find satisfaction in my work and at the same time my work is quite well paid =)
It's a very fortunate thing to a job that suits you and gives you a sense of satisfaction.
Just as the Chinese saying goes - "You cannot do a million things with money. But you can't do a billion things without money." It's not very inspirational but it's really that realistic. Especially these days when everyone is shouting "I'm poor" or "I'm really poor" or "I'm even poorer than you."
But how much is enough?
And are we slaving away for money? And are we letting money control us?
Actually I feel that I'm quite rich. (Here I'm saying I'm rich in terms of what I have is exceeding what I need not in absolute sense / cents) Here's a question : If you win $1 million lottery today what will you do with the money?
My answer? Save it in the bank and let the money roll.
So is there a difference between me having that 1 million and not the million? Actually in a very minimal sense.
I'm already happy with what I have. I have a nice house to stay, can afford for my lessons, can afford for my weekly expenditure...and things like cars, living in condominium and all those sorts...it's a good to have but definitely not a want.
A good to have is different from a want.
That's why I feel a bit richer. There are things that should exist in your dreams (or daydreams). Sometimes you can reach for what you want but there are just things that just don't come across to you in your lives. Be happy with what you have and who you are.Labels: Thoughts
